Julia Garlich

Julia Garlich is an Associate Attorney at Taxman, Pollock & Bekkerman, LLC. She represents individuals in a range of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, nursing home negligence, and medical negligence.

Julia recognizes the profound impact an injury can have on individuals and their families and is committed to securing the best possible result for every client. She works closely with her clients throughout the litigation process, ensuring they feel informed and supported at every stage of their case.

Prior to joining Taxman, Pollock & Bekkerman, Julia practiced at a Chicago plaintiffs’ personal injury firm, where she successfully litigated personal injury matters in state and federal court, obtaining favorable results for her clients.

Julia graduated cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law with a Certificate in Workplace Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. During law school, Julia was a member of Chicago-Kent’s Moot Court Honor Society, where she competed nationally, earning awards such as Best Oralist and Second Place at the 2024 Elder Law Moot Court Competition in Florida, and finishing as an Octofinalist at the 2023 Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition in Virginia. She also received CALI Awards for the highest grades in Trial Advocacy and Labor Law.

As part of her training in alternative dispute resolution, Julia became a certified mediator through the Center for Conflict Resolution, where she mediated a variety of disputes in Chicago. This experience strengthened her ability to manage conflict and guide parties toward resolution—skills she now brings to her advocacy on behalf of injured clients.

Before attending law school, Julia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri with a degree in Journalism – Investigative News Writing, and a minor in Political Science. Her experience as a reporter and background in investigative journalism continue to inform her approach to litigation, enhancing her ability to uncover key facts and tell her clients’ stories with clarity and impact.
