Sarah Riess is a trial attorney who has dedicated her career to fighting for victims of negligence. Sarah concentrates her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, products liability, sexual abuse and assault, and nursing home abuse litigation.

Sarah is a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2022-2023), a distinction reserved for only the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state of Illinois. Sarah was also recognized as a “Top 40 under 40 Attorney” by the National Trial Lawyers in 2019 and 2020 (civil plaintiff). These honors reflect Sarah’s legal skills, hard work, and devotion to her clients.

Prior to joining Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman, Sarah practiced medical malpractice litigation at another prominent PI firm in Chicago, where she obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of her clients.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Sarah graduated from Georgetown University with a M.S. in Physiology and Biophysics. She also worked in the medical industry as an orthopedic sales representative, where she regularly attended orthopedic surgeries. These experiences provided Sarah with the background necessary to understand complex medical issues, which she uses to maximize recovery for her clients.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys trying new restaurants, hiking, and exploring local parks with her family and two dogs.
