Taxman, Pollock & Bekkerman, LLC Files Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Equinox Health Club

Posted on June 19, 2026

On June 16, 2026, the law firm of Taxman, Pollock & Bekkerman, LLC (TP&B) and its lawyers, Bradley N. Pollock, Sarah Riess, and Katherine Stricklen, filed a ten-count civil lawsuit against Equinox Health Club and one of its massage therapists for sexually assaulting a client during a massage at the Equinox gym located at 2355 N. Lincoln in Chicago, Illinois. The sexual assault took place on May 14, 2025, and was reported to the authorities. There is a pending criminal case.

According to TP&B’s civil complaint, the Equinox massage therapist was previously charged in 2015 with two felony counts of failing to register as a sex offender in Chicago. He later pleaded guilty to one of those felony counts. He reported to the authorities that he still needed treatment, was not cured, and still had urges. He was later hired by Defendant Equinox in January of 2024 to be one of its massage therapists.
In May of 2024, less than five months later, another Equinox patron reported to the Chicago Police Department that the Defendant massage therapist sexually assaulted the patron. Equinox continued to employ the Defendant massage therapist. Then, in May of 2024, Defendant Equinox’s massage therapist sexually assaulted our client, Plaintiff John Doe.
