Katherine Sticklen is an Associate Attorney at Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman, LLC. Katie focuses her practice on cases involving personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, and sexual abuse and assault.
Born and raised in Joplin, Missouri, Katie graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Journalism in Strategic Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she served as the Lead Student Ambassador, was the President of the Women’s Law Student Association, tutored students in Criminal Law, and was a member of the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society. Katie was also involved in the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Jewish Law Students Association, and was heavily involved in intramural basketball.
Katie is an active alumnae of her sorority, Delta Gamma, and currently serves as the Advisory Team Chairman for the Omega chapter at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
During law school, Katie worked as a law clerk for the Freedom From Religion Foundation, a boutique law firm in Madison, Wisconsin, and for the Honorable S. Cotton Walker in Jefferson City, Missouri, where she received hands-on experience in state, federal, constitutional, and bankruptcy litigation. Prior to joining TPMB, Katie worked at a boutique law firm in Madison, Wisconsin, specializing in insurance and sexual abuse litigation. Katie’s prior experience in Madison focused on representing hundreds of sexual abuse survivors of the Catholic Church in various Archdioceses around the country against insurance companies that refused to provide coverage to those abused.
In her free time, Katie can be found playing recreational basketball and volleyball, reading, doing yoga, and being a dog-mom to her puppy, Parker.
