Joshua D. Rubin is an associate with Taxman, Pollock, Murray, and Bekkerman, LLC, bringing with him extensive knowledge regarding medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and other types of injury cases. Joshua takes pride in protecting the injured and helping them navigate an oftentimes difficult journey after suffering a catastrophic injury or loss.
Prior to joining Taxman, Pollock, Murray, and Bekkerman, Joshua spent his career defending claims against hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, and other practitioners at a premier national defense firm. This experience has given Joshua valuable insight into how the defense evaluates cases, works them up, and eventually determines whether to resolve a case or take it to trial. Joshua uses that knowledge to identify those factors that made him uncomfortable as a defense lawyer and utilize them to his advantage when seeking justice for his clients.
Joshua received his law degree from Loyola University School of Law located in Chicago, Illinois, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. While in Law School, Joshua worked at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office as a 711 licensed attorney where he tried Bench Trials and argued against Motions to Suppress Evidence. This trial experience as a young lawyer has helped shape Joshua’s career and interest in trial work.
Joshua is married and lives in downtown Chicago with his wife. In his free time, Joshua enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams.
