Michael P. Scanlon

Michael Scanlon is an Associate Attorney at Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman, LLC. Michael grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois with his parents and four siblings. Michael grew up with strong ties to the Chicago legal community.

Michael joined Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman, LLC after his first year of law school in 2018. Michael has worked at the firm since that first summer. Since 2018, Michael has gained firsthand knowledge of the ins and outs of the personal injury workplace and the courtroom. Michael has worked on cases at every stage of litigation — from investigating and pleading through trial, judgment, and post-judgment motions.

Michael graduated in the top third of his class at DePaul University College of Law. While at DePaul University College of Law, Michael received two CALI “Excellence for the Future” Awards. These awards recognize that Michael received the highest grade in his class for Evidence and for Conflict of Laws, two significant subject areas in personal injury law.

Michael is committed to working tirelessly on his clients’ cases. He understands that most clients simply want to know what is happening in their case, and is committed to keeping clients informed and comfortable throughout the litigation process.

Prior to Michael’s career in litigation, he attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. At Creighton, Michael graduated with a degree in Finance and Economics. In Michael’s free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, and watching the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and Cubs.
